Privacy Policy

We collect what's needed to route a song request to the right stage and pay the band — and not much more.

What we collect

  • Bands and venues: name, email, band name, photo, song catalog, show dates, and Stripe account status. Bank and card details live with Stripe, never on our servers.
  • Fans: the name you type on a request, an optional phone number or email if you ask for alerts or join a fan list, and the tip amount. Card details go directly to Stripe.
  • Location: when you scan a QR, we may use your approximate location once, on your device, to pick the right stage. We don't track you afterwards.
  • Usage: anonymous analytics (page views, scan sources) and hashed IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

How we use it

  • Deliver requests to the band on stage and confirm payments.
  • Send the texts or emails you opted into (show alerts, request status, band updates). Reply STOP or use the unsubscribe link to stop.
  • Show bands who their fans are so they can build a following. Bands only see fans who requested from them or joined their list.
  • Keep the Service secure and prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments), Twilio (texts), our email provider, and our hosting/database providers — each only as needed to run the Service. We do not sell personal data.

Photos and clips

Fan-uploaded media is private to the band until the fan consents and the band approves it for a public moment or reel. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and is permanent once withdrawn.

Your choices

  • Fans can ask us to delete their request history, phone or email by contacting support@yourequestnow.com.
  • Bands can edit or delete their profile, catalog and fan list from Backstage, or close their account by emailing us.
  • Texts: reply STOP. Email: use the unsubscribe link.

Retention and security

We keep payment records for as long as tax and Stripe rules require and delete or anonymize other data when it's no longer needed. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Children

The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
